Master Gardeners
Ramsey County Master Gardeners are volunteers trained by the University of Minnesota Extension Service to educate the public on a variety of home horticultural subjects using readily-available, up-to-date research-based information.

Parks and Recreation
The mission of the Ramsey County Parks and Recreation Department is to enhance the quality of life for the people of Ramsey County by preserving, developing, maintaining and managing a system of parks, open space, trail corridors and special use areas; and by providing year-around recreational programs, services and facilities which are responsive to changing needs, compatible with the resource base and most effectively provided at a county level.

The mission of the Saint Paul – Ramsey County Department of Public Health is to improve, protect, and promote the health, environment and the well-being of people in our community.

The mission of the Ramsey County Public Works Department is to enhance the social and economic welfare of the people of Ramsey County by providing and maintaining a safe, efficient transportation system that is coordinated with the needs of other units of government; facilitating the preservation of the quality of County lakes and other water resources through effective resource management; providing a system of uniform land records to ensure the proper recording of land survey documents; and continuing the coordination of public works programs with federal, state and local agencies.

Steps to a Healthier Saint Paul
The Steps to a Healthier Saint Paul is working to implement chronic disease prevention efforts focused on reducing the burden of diabetes, overweight, obesity, and asthma and addressing three related risk factors: physical inactivity, poor nutrition, and tobacco use.
