Commissioner McDonough's Bio

Commissioner McDonough is a life long resident of the East Side of St. Paul. He is married to Carol and they have four children: Matt 25, Andrew 16, Tegan 15, and Patrick 14. He graduated from Johnson High School in 1973. He is a member of Local Union 1324 Glazier and Glassworker and is employed by the St. Paul School District.

After numerous years of active community service for many youth groups and involvement in planning and improving the East Side Area of St. Paul, I am honored to serve the East Side Community. As Ramsey County Commissioner, I will be a voice for the East Side on fiscal and policy decisions made by the Ramsey County Board.

As a Board member, I will continually search for ways to address quality of life issues to improve the County as a whole and particularly the East Side of St. Paul.

The Ramsey County Board has an important role in retaining current residents and businesses and attracting new ones by being fiscally responsible while providing programs and services that make the County an attractive place to live, work and do business.
