Domestic Relations provides services for parenting cases referred by court. The specific services include mediation to assists parties in developing custody and parenting-time arrangements. When parties are unable to resolve disputes through mediation, Domestic Relations conducts evaluations for both custody and/or parenting time.
Domestic Relations assists parties in parenting-time matters such as drug testing, graduated parenting time schedules, parent-child re-unification and assisting when there is an active Order for Protection.
Target Population
Clients referred by the Ramsey County Family Court.
Unit Responsibilities
- Assisting parents who are developing a custody plan.
- Assisting parents who are developing a parenting-time plan.
- Providing evaluations to the court when agreement for custody or parenting time cannot be reached.
- Providing parenting-time supervision.
