Program Description
As an intern at the Ramsey County Community Corrections Department, you will have "hands on" learning opportunities. The purpose is to give you an individualized learning experience that will contribute to your education and future career development. You will assist professional Community Corrections staff in a specific division by performing designated duties relating to both departmental and your academic needs.
Internship opportunities are available to students who are enrolled in a college or university at the undergraduate and graduate levels.
To become an intern you must:
- Complete an application
- Be five years or longer free from any criminal conviction, incarceration or probation
- Consent to a Criminal Background Check
- Interview for a position with the Volunteer Resources Office
- Complete Orientation
- Fulfull 400 hours of internship assignment
