QUEST Program

The QUEST Program provides residential and outpatient treatment care to the male youth who have manifested sexually harming behaviors, by creating a safe and secure environment in which the clients are given opportunities for healthy socialization and community reintegration.

Quest has primarily built its therapeutic culture on the core value: “Community is Watching Us.”  The program attempts to address the harms caused by the clients’ actions towards the persons victimized, their families, the community in which the harm was caused and the whole society. The treatment program at Quest applies evidence-based practices in effective treatment planning including psychological testing and phallometric assessments to create ways the clients can contribute to recovery of the harm caused by their choices in the past.

The program is uniquely designed to provide a continuum of care services to the clients, with their journey towards “Safety and Freedom” beginning with:

Ø      Intensive residential treatment program ranging from 6-7 months. This phase constitutes identification of Risk Factors and Protective Assets unique to each client and development of Self-regulation strategies.

Ø      Community transition phase ( 1-2 months) incorporating Life skills training and monitored opportunities for the clients to demonstrate the healthy behaviors and strengthen their support network.

Ø       Extensive outpatient after-care treatment  for 3-4 months under intensive supervision, to facilitate healthy assimilation into the community.

Besides sexuality-specific treatment modality, Quest also provides options of 60 and 90 days psychosexual evaluations designed to assist in determining possible options in terms of placement and treatment for the youth.

Family therapy and education constitutes an important component of all the above-mentioned services and begins at the time of the youth’s entry in Quest.
