Abandoned Water Well Sealing - Attention Ramsey County Residents
Well Sealing Cost-Share Program is available
The Ramsey Conservation District received a $128,000 grant through the Clean Water Fund to assist owners seal unused wells located in Drinking Water Supply Management & Wellhead Protection Areas within Ramsey County, MN.
· Applicants eligible for funding will be reimbursed up to 50% of the well sealing costs, not to exceed $750 per well.
· Grant money is limited and funding may not be applied retroactively to wells that have already been sealed
· Wells eligible for cost share funding must be located within a drinking water supply management area or a wellhead protection area.

Native Plantings - Raingardens - Shoreline Restorations
Cost share funds are available and free technical assistance for Ramsey County residents who would like to implement restoration projects, such as raingardens, native plantings, and shoreline restorations, that will create habitat and protect our lakes, streams, and wetlands. The following cooperators have cost share funds available for projects: Capitol Region Watershed District, Grass Lake Watershed District, Ramsey-Washington Metro Watershed District, Rice Creek Watershed District, and Vadnais Lake Area Watershed Management Organization. Program Goals - Program goals include; protecting surface and groundwater quality, increasing storm-water infiltration, increasing wildlife habitat and increasing diversity.
