Ramsey County Community and Economic Development/Housing and Redevelopment Authority (HRA) has established an Environmental Response Fund to help project partners clean-up contaminated properties throughout the county. Funds are generated by a mortgage registry and deed tax of .0001 percent of the principal amount of financings. Twenty two (22) clean-up projects have received ERF funding to date totaling $5.7M and about 200 acres.
Proposals are typically accepted in May and November and coordinated with MN Department of Employment and Economic Development and Metropolitan Council brownfields programs.
