Newly Rehabilitated Homes Ready for Buyers

Ramsey County’s foreclosed property efforts are converting vacant properties into affordable, “move-in” ready homes for families. New to the market is this home on 2560 Spruce Street in Little Canada. Six more homes are currently being rehabilitated and will be on the market soon. Drive by these properties and if you’d like more information, contact us. Buyers who are especially interested may be able to lock in a purchase price and select colors and finishes.

If you'll be making an offer, be sure to read the disclosures and include the Pre-Purchase Application and Certification.

Environmental Response Fund

Applications for ground clean-up/brownfields remediation were accepted in May. Up to $450,000 was available for projects that remove hazardous contaminants from the soil to make redevelopment of the site possible. Since the program began in 2005, funding has been invested in twelve different projects ranging from the clean-up of the Maxson Steel site in Saint Paul to the Northwest Quadrant in New Brighton. Redevelopment will result in new housing, businesses and jobs. Environmental Response Funds are generated by mortgage registration and deed transactions.

The Ramsey County HRA will be considering requests from the Port Authority for the 3M site and Roseville's Twin Lakes on Tuesday, July 13, 2010.
