Candidates Who Have Filed for Office
Where to File
Candidates for all federal offices must file at the Secretary of State's office.
Ramsey County residents who are candidates for constitutional offices, supreme court, or the court of appeals may file at the Ramsey County Elections office or the Secretary of State's office.
Ramsey County residents who are candidates for the offices listed below may file at either the Ramsey County Elections office or the Secretary of State's office:

State Senator in Districts 38, 41, 42, 43, 53, 64, 65, 66 and 67;

State Representative in Districts 38B, 41A, 41B, 42A, 42B, 43A, 43B, 53A, 64A, 64B, 65A, 65B, 66A, 66B, 67A and 67B; or

Judge of Second District Court
Candidates for all county offices must file at Ramsey County Elections.
Candidates for city offices in St Paul, Roseville, Mounds View, Arden Hills and Falcon Heights must file at Ramsey County Elections. All other city candidates must file with their city clerk.
Candidates for school district offices in 625 (St. Paul), 623 (Roseville), and 621 (Mounds View) must file at Ramsey County Elections. All other candidates for school district offices must file at their school district office.

Candidate Spending
You can review each candidate's financial reports and those of committees that are making contributions to federal, state, county, municipal and school district candidates and committees to support or oppose any ballot questions. Financial reports for candidates for federal office file their reports with the Federal Election Commission. Candidates for state office file with the state Campaign Finance and Public Disclosure Board. Saint Paul municipal, Falcon Heights municipal, and Ramsey County candidates file with Ramsey County Elections. School Board candidates for Saint Paul, Mounds View, and Roseville file with Ramsey County Elections. Reports for all other candidates are filed with their respective city or school district clerk.
