Discount Drug Program: Ramsey County is partnering with a free national discount prescription savings program that could save residents money on medications and health care costs. The Coast2Coast Rx Card Program offers savings on medications, dental, vision, and hearing services; plus discounts on lab and imaging tests and diabetes supplies and equipment for all family members. The program also offers discounts on pet prescriptions and veterinary services. The RX Card is free and available to any County resident, regardless of income, age or health status. Information about the Coast2Coast Rx card is now available at Ramsey County offices including the Public Health Center, 555 Cedar Street in St. Paul, and Ramsey County libraries. Information is also available at a variety of pharmacies, clinics and other community locations. Residents can also print out the Rx card online and view the nearest participating locations at www.coast2coastrx.com.
TCAAP Trespass Warning: Ramsey County has taken possession of 427 acres of vacant land at the Twin Cities Army Ammunition Plant property in Arden Hills and has begun demolition of the buildings on the site. The county would like to remind residents that trespassing on the site during demolition and cleanup is both against the law and potentially dangerous. Abandoned buildings and other structures can pose hazards to unauthorized visitors. Of particular concern are wires that still carry electricity to the site. Trespassers who touch or cut these wires risk electrocution. It is impossible for trespassers to know which wires are live and which are not. The Ramsey County Sheriff’s Office will be patrolling the site and will arrest anyone caught trespassing. Trespassers will be prosecuted.
