Fix-It Clinic

Free Fix-It Clinic Aug. 29

Instead of throwing away your broken items, get them fixed for free! Ramsey County’s next free Fix-it Clinic is this Saturday, Aug. 29 from 1 – 3 p.m. at Arlington Hills Community Center. Handy volunteers will help you repair broken items and reduce community waste. Accepted items include small household appliances, clothing, electronics and mobile devices.

Up-to-date immunizations are not only required to start school in Minnesota, but also for childcare and early childhood programs. Call your clinic today for an immunization visit. Public Health’s Immunization Clinic  also offers low-cost immunizations for individuals without insurance, whose insurance does not cover immunizations, or who are unable to access services.

20 Residents or Business Owners Needed for Website Testing

Ramsey County is in the process of rebuilding our website to create a better, easier user experience for desktop and mobile visitors. We’re looking for up to 20 residents or business owners to test the site before it launches to provide feedback. Participants will be paid for their time and participation.

Sessions will take place Monday, Sept. 14 through Friday, Sept. 18 from 8 a.m. – 6 p.m. in downtown Saint Paul. Each session will last about an hour and take place one-on-one with a facilitator.

If you’re interested in participating, please submit an email indicating what day(s) and time(s) work best. Participation is on a first-come, first-served basis.

Ramsey County Board Outlines Next Steps on Economic Prosperity Efforts 

The Ramsey County Board of Commissioners has outlined next steps in a bold strategic plan to cultivate economic prosperity and eliminate concentrated poverty, following a year of data-driven analysis and research, staff workshops, and community discussions.  The strategic plan addresses structures, processes and programs across all county departments in a holistic attempt to provide opportunities for greater prosperity for all residents.

Courthouse Tours Available

Guided tours of the Ramsey Courthouse and St. Paul City Hall are open to the public every Monday except holidays from 12:15 to 1:15 p.m. Tours will be held on Tuesdays following holidays. Meet in front of Vision of Peace Statue on the first floor. Learn more about the building and its architectural style by listening to KFAI’s documentary on Art Deco.
