Flu Shots
IT’S TIME TO PLAN FOR YOUR SEASONAL FLU SHOT!
Influenza (the flu) is a contagious disease. The flu is more than sniffles. It’s coughing. It’s fever. It’s aching. It can lead to pneumonia and death. The best protection you can get for yourself and to protect others is a flu shot.
Twelve seasonal flu shot clinics are scheduled for all Ramsey County employees starting September 13th through October 3rd. These are walk-in clinics – no appointments are necessary.
There is no cost if immunizations are covered by your insurance and your insurance is one of the following accepted plans: HealthPartners, Preferred One, Medica, BCBS, UCare, America’s PPO, PrimeWest, South Country Health Care Alliance and Medicare.
Your insurance card must be presented at the clinic.
If you are not covered by one of these insurance plans or you do not bring your insurance card to the clinic, you may purchase a vaccination by check or cash. Cost is $25.00 for injection or $35.00 for FluMist.
