New System, New Access in Community Human Services/Financial Assistance Services.
Effective February 1, 2008 Financial Assistance Services (FAS), a division of Community Human Services (CHS), is implementing a new 24/7 phone service called EZInfo.
EZInfo will allow clients to obtain information about their financial assistance eligibility, program status, and benefits. It interacts with state eligibility systems to give up-to-date information about a person’s case status. Clients can also leave messages for their workers and report changes. The service is available in Spanish, Somali, Hmong, and English. Even though it is an automated system, the caller can still go through the system to reach a worker. They can also get information on other resources to assist them as well as directions to CHS main offices at 160 E. Kellogg Blvd.
