Volunteering for Human Services

Supplementing Staff to Benefit Clients

Thank you for your interest in volunteering with Ramsey County Community Human Services. There are many meaningful and rewarding ways in which you can volunteer your time. Our volunteers have the opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of others and contribute to the quality of life of the citizens of Ramsey County.

There is formal process to become a RCCHS volunteer that includes—

1. Completion of a written application.
2. Personal/professional reference checks.
3. Interview with the Coordinator of Volunteer Services.
4. Background study.

All volunteers are provided a general orientation, and position specific training. All volunteers are eligible for certain benefits including reimbursement for mileage, parking or bus fare.
