The Ramsey County Master Gardener application process starts in early fall annually, and the training is held in January and February.
Master Gardener interns complete the blended online training class with the University of Minnesota and commit to volunteering 50 hours in their home county their first year, in the projects outlined on our "Services and Projects" link. After the first year, Master Gardeners annually complete 25 volunteer hours and 12 continuing education hours minimum to maintain their certification.
Ramsey County and the University of Minnesota Extension partner to provide the Ramsey County Master Gardener program for citizens.
