Ramsey County Master Gardeners teach citizens at NUMEROUS community events and venues--examples: teaching schoolchildren to plant rain gardens to protect our water supplies, and staffing Q&A booths at community gardens and environmental celebrations.

Children's Hospital Horticulture Therapy
Ramsey County Master Gardeners provide natural, therapeutic activities for Children's Hospital patients, with projects such as "plant your plant with a tongue depressor" and "soil-less plant projects" for oncology patients. FREE!
This Program Provides:
- Relaxation, energy renewal, stress relief, sense of well-being, self-confidence, creativity, cooperation, patience, strength, improved motor skills, improved vocabulary and communication skills
- An opportunity for the children to learn about plants
- Relief from daily medical procedures
- An opportunity to value people/plant interaction
- A valuable therapeutic tool to incorporate into their therapeutic interventions
