Charles M. Schulz-Highland Arena is a two-sheet ice arena complex. Ice is maintained in the north arena on a year-round basis. Ice is provided in the south arena from mid-October through mid-March. During other times, the south arena is available for in-line hockey and other non-ice activities. Charles M. Schulz-Highland Arena serves local youth, high school and college hockey teams, Ramsey County's Learn-To-Skate Program, and a variety of men's and women's in-line hockey leagues throughout the spring and summer seasons.

Special-use Facilities
Reservations for Charles M. Schulz-Highland Arena's special-use facilities can be made in person or by calling 651-695-3766. Reservation priority will be given to users who currently have ice rental contracts at Charles M. Schulz-Highland Arena.
- Synthetic Ice Training Area
The synthetic ice training area is a new innovation in flooring that is plastic and teams can practice with their skates on before or after their ice rental times.
- Weight Room Training Area
The weight room training area is fully equipped with free weights, stationary weights and other top-of-the-line up-to-date exercise equipment.
- Multi-purpose Room Rental
The multi-purpose room can be used for meetings, parties and other small gatherings. The room is equipped with a TV, VCR, etc.
Priority for synthetic ice will be given to ice users 30 minutes prior to their ice reservation and will be reserved in 30-minute increments. Priority for the weight room is 60 minutes after ice reservations. The multi-purpose room will be reserved on an hourly basis. Priority reservations (ice users on contract) must be made at least one month in advance or reservation rights will be relinquished and the time slot will be made available to other users. Reservations made within the immediate month will be processed on a first-come-first-served basis.
Special-use Facilities Reservation Fees and Payment
All reservations must be paid in full and in advance of reservation time. Payment can be submitted in cash or check. A reservation can be held with a credit card (Visa or Master Card) until cash or check payment is received. Reservation fees are as follows:
- Synthetic Ice Training Area: $12.50/30 minutes
- Weight Room Training Area: $5.00/30 minutes
- Multi-purpose Room: $5.00/30 minutes
NOTE: Fees are based on estimated operating expenses and are subject to change upon further review of operating costs.
Youth associations may secure advanced reservations for one-hour or two-hour increments of time to use the weight room or synthetic ice area provided reservations are made in concurrence with their ice contract. Payment must be made one month in advance of rental use (i.e., reservations made for November 1-30 must be paid by October 1).
Multi-purpose room rental exceptions: multi-purpose room may not be reserved in advance during open skating sessions.
