Severe Weather Awareness
Spring is finally here which means green grass, beautiful flowers, and thunderstorms. Be aware of the possibility of lightning. When thunder roars, go indoors. No place is completely safe from lightning, however, some places are much safer than others. If you are outside, seek cover in low-lying places away from poles, metal objects and trees. The safest place to be in severe weather is in an enclosed building or home. Read more about this topic and state-wide tornado drills.
