Orientation
All volunteers that have completed the registration on the MN Responds website are required to attend an orientation session.  Orientation is a very important type of training creating awareness of public health and emergency preparedness in Ramsey County. To volunteer when you are called for an emergency you will need to have attended an orientation session and received a “GO” bag and ID badge.   

There are now 3 options to complete the required orientation:

1.  In-Person

• Sessions are scheduled throughout the year  - 2013 Spring Schedule below
• To register: email mrc-ramsey@co.ramsey.mn.us
• List your name, email and date/time of the session you wish to attend 
• Sessions are held at Saint Paul - Ramsey County Public Health
• Your picture will be taken for your photo ID and go-bags will be provided

2013 Spring Schedule
April 17 | 5:30 pm
April 24 | 12:00 noon
May 14 | 12:00 noon
May 20 | 5:30 pm

2.  Online

• Visit University of Minnesota- School of Public Health
• Create a username and password to access the course
• Once you have completed the course, send a copy of your certificate of completion (by fax, email or mail) 
• Contact our office to have your picture taken for your photo ID and pick up your go-bag

3.  In-Person, Special Session

• If it is not possible for you to attend a scheduled session and you would like in-person training, please contact us
• Email mrc-ramsey@co.ramsey.mn.us with a 2.0 hour time frame you would be able to attend, special sessions can be scheduled during the day, over the lunch hour or early in the evening 
• Sessions are held at Saint Paul - Ramsey County Public Health
• Your picture will be taken for your photo ID and go-bags will be provided
