Preparing for an Influenza Pandemic & Public Health Emergencies

All residents have a role preparing Ramsey County for a public health emergency. The Community Tool Kit provides outreach handouts, community presentations, activities and other materials that will help people learn more about pandemic influenza and how to prepare for public health emergencies.
The goals of the Tool Kit are: to increase knowledge about influenza pandemics, provide information and activities about how to prepare for emergencies, and start conversations about how communities can work to prepare for health emergencies.
How to Use the Tool Kit
Start planning for how your organization or group can prepare for emergencies.
- Look through all of the materials and see what information and/or activities would work for your group.
- Sponsor a community event about pandemic influenza and how to prepare for emergencies
- Distribute materials and information to community members at regular meetings or in your public areas
- Include information about pandemic influenza and preparing for emergencies in your newsletters
