Child & Teen Checkups (C&TC)
Provides outreach to families of MA and Minnesota Care eligible children ages birth to 21, facilitation of well-child care, and provider education. The purpose of the checkups is to identify and treat health problems early.

Sexual Health Services
Provides all medically accepted methods of birth control, physical exams, follow-up colposcopy, pregnancy tests, diagnosis and treatment of sexually transmitted diseases (STD) including HIV testing and counseling.

Tuberculosis (TB) Control Services
Detects and controls tuberculosis through screening (mantoux tests and chest x-rays), treatment and case management. Education is provided to individuals and families, other agencies and the community. Services by appointment only.

Correctional Health
Works cooperatively with and is a resource to Ramsey County Department of Community Corrections and Ramsey County Sheriff's Department to ensure that quality health care services are provided in a respectful manner to incarcerated and detained individuals. Correctional Health Care Services provide assessment, screening, treatment and education for detained and incarcerated youths and adults of Ramsey County.

Program activities are directed toward promoting the health and well-being of pregnant and parenting families, enhancing parent/child interaction and attachment, promoting healthy child growth and development, promoting effective child spacing; preventing childhood illness, unintentional injury and abuse; and promoting health care access, self-sufficiency and positive parenting.

Home and Community Care Programs
Designed to support elderly and people with disabilities in their efforts to remain living as independently in the community as possible. There are several different programs that are targeted to specific age groups and types of disabilities. Also referred to as Case Management, Long Term Care Consultation(LTCC) or Waiver Programs.

Perinatal Hepatitis B Prevention Program
Provides case management for Ramsey County infants born to hepatitis B positive mothers and education on prevention of hepatitis B transmission.

Personal Care Attendants (PCAs)
Public health nurses assess eligibility for the PCA program. This program is a Medical Assistance (MA) funded program for physically and mentally challenged adults and children. Its purpose is to provide home based personal care services in order to support independence in the community.

WIC
A nutrition education program that provides supplemental foods which promote good health for pregnant, breastfeeding and postpartum women, infants and children up to their fifth birthday. Participants in the WIC Program receive vouchers for nutritious foods, nutrition education and referrals to services in their neighborhood, including doctors, nurses and social service agencies
