Childhood Immunizations
Diseases such as measles, polio and diptheria used to be very common just and millions of children were disabled or died as a result of these diseases. Measles is being seen more frequently in the US as a result of parents choosing not to vaccinate their children.
Immunizations (also known as vaccines) are recommended for all children to reduce their risk of infection from these diseases. Diseases that were once common in the United States but are now controlled by immunizations during childhood are still prevalent throughout other parts of the world.
