Update
All Yard Waste Sites are OUT of compost for the rest of the year.
Wood mulch is available at selected sites.
Emerald Ash Borer (EAB)
Due to the Emerald Ash Borer (EAB) quarantine, Ramsey County residents cannot transport ash trees, including ash limbs, branches, logs and untreated ash lumber with the bark attached, outside of Ramsey and Hennepin counties. This quarantine also applies to firewood of any hardwood species. To remain in compliance with the quarantine, some trash haulers no longer offer tree waste collection as part of their service to residents. However, residents have other options such as hiring a commercial tree or yard cleanup service to collect their tree waste. Ramsey County residents can also bring tree waste to a Ramsey County yard waste site. Ramsey County residents who live in zip codes 55103, 55104, 55108, 55113, and 55117 are strongly encouraged to take ash limbs, branches, and logs to the Ramsey County Midway Yard Waste Site to prevent spread of EAB to other parts of the County.

How to Use
The sites are free and may be used by Ramsey County residents ONLY. Bring proof of residency, such as a driver's license.
Proof of residency is required to control costs of the brush collection program which is paid for by Ramsey County taxpayers. Users of the Brush Collection Sites will be asked to show photo identification, such as a driver's license, as proof of residency (it is State law to carry a valid driver's license while driving). However, a utility bill with a Ramsey County address or a State-issued identification card verifying Ramsey County residency may suffice in the event of a lost driver's license or other circumstance.
Commercial operators and out-of-county residents can use private brush recyclers (pdf) that accept residential and commercial brush.
Dumping of materials when sites are closed is NOT allowed and is punishable with a fine of up to $700 and/or 90 days in jail.
