Warner Road Bridge Reconstruction Project
Ramsey County, in cooperation with the City of St. Paul, is proposing to reconstruct the eastbound Warner Road Bridge over Childs Road. A portion of the westbound bridge will be modified to relocate a pier for future railroad expansion. Ramsey County is completing the preliminary engineering phase of the project and will begin final engineering. The project is planned for construction in 2013 and 2014. View Project Layout
Maryland Avenue at Arkwright Street Reconstruction
Ramsey County, in cooperation with the City of St. Paul, is planning the reconstruction of Maryland Avenue from Westminster Street to 125 ft east of Clark Street. The purpose of the project is to add left turn lanes on Maryland Avenue at Arkwright Street. This project will widen the roadway and includes new traffic signal system to allow for protected left turns (green turn arrow) at Arkwright intersection. Sidewalks will be reconstructed to meet Americans with Disability Act standards. Ramsey County is currently designing the project and construction is planned for the summer of 2013. Little Canada Road (I-35E to Edgerton Street)

County State Aid Highway 10 at Silver Lake Road
Ramsey County, in cooperation with the City of Mounds View, is proposing to upgrade the pedestrian ramps and replace the traffic signal at County State Aid Highway 10 and Silver Lake Road. Construction is scheduled to begin in spring 2013.
Rice Street Pavement Rehabilitation
Ramsey County, in cooperation with the cities of Roseville and Maplewood, is proposed to resurface Rice Street between Larpenteur Avenue to 700 feet south of County Road B. This project will remove the existing asphalt and replace it. Also, the pedestrian curb ramps will be upgraded to meet current standards. A new signal will be installed at the intersection of Rice Street and Roselawn Avenue which will include an accessible pedestrian signal.
2014 Proposed Projects
Lexington Avenue (I-694 to County Road F)
Ramsey County, in cooperation with the Cities of Shoreview and Arden Hills, is proposing to reconstruct Lexington Avenue from north of County Road F to I-694. The signal at County Road F will be replaced and turn lanes will be added to provide dedicated right and left turn lanes, including dual left turn lanes north and south bound on Lexington Avenue. Right turn lanes will be added at the ramps to both east and west bound I-694. A multi-use trail will be added on the west side of Lexington Avenue between County Road F and I-694. The project is currently in the final design phase. View preliminary layout of the proposed improvements. The County has secured $1 million in Department of Employment and Economic Development funding and $252,212 in MnDOT Cooperative AGreement funding. Appraisals are underway for the right-of-way/easements requred to build the project. There will be a public open house in the summer of 2013 with construction scheduled for 2014.
Randolph Avenue (Snelling Avenue to I-35E)
Ramsey County, in cooperation with the City of Saint Paul, is proposing to reconstruct Randolph Avenue from Snelling Avenue to I-35E to replace the deteriorating roadway section. The preliminary engineering phase of the project is underway. The project is scheduled to begin in 2014 and may be constructed in two construction seasons.

Ramsey County, in cooperation with the City of St. Paul, is planning the reconstruction of Maryland Avenue between Edgerton Street and Greenbrier Street. (View Proposed Project Layout) This project will widen the roadway on Maryland Avenue to accommodate protected left (green turn arrow) turn lanes. Construction will also include a new signal system at Payne Avenue and pedestrian facility upgrades (sidewalk and curb ramps). Ramsey County is currently designing the project and construction is planned for the 2014 construction season.
