2nd Annual Night to Unite - 
Tuesday, August 3, 2010 - 5:00 - 9:00 p.m.
For residents and businesses in Arden Hills, Gem Lake, Little Canada, North Oaks, Shoreview, Vadnais Heights, and White Bear Township - join us to promote crime prevention and give crime a going away party by celebrating the Night to Unite!
For other communities within Ramsey County, contact your local law enforcement agency.
Be sure your community neighborhood celebrates community spirit along with the nation for the largest annual crime and drug prevention event. Do not delay, request your registration form for your neighborhood event to the Ramsey County Sheriff’s Office Crime Prevention Unit.
Night to Unite is designed to:
- Heighten crime and drug prevention awareness
- Generate support for, and participation in, local anti-crime programs
- Strengthen neighborhood spirit and police-community partnerships
- Send a message to criminals letting them know that neighborhoods are organized and fighting back
Nationally, the first Tuesday of August traditional displays of outdoor lights and front porch vigils, your neighborhoods have celebrated with a variety of events and activities such as: block parties, cookouts, visits from your fire department, government officials from your community, Ramsey County, and the State of Minnesota. This event has proven to be an effective, inexpensive and enjoyable program to promote neighborhood spirit and police-community partnerships in our fight for continued safer communities. Plus, the benefits for your community will most certainly extend well beyond the one night.
