Enhancing programs and services for youth, crime prevention, community outreach, and public safety provided by the Ramsey County Sheriff’s Office

About the Sheriff’s Foundation

The Ramsey County Sheriff’s Foundation was formed in January 2012 under the leadership of Sheriff Matt Bostrom.  The Foundation is a registered 501(c)3 non-profit.  Created to consolidate and enhance programs and services already provided by the Sheriff’s Office, the Foundation provides leadership, transparency, and accountability for all fundraising efforts and expenditures.

Goals of the Sheriff’s Foundation

The Foundation enhances programs and services provided by the Sheriff’s Office by offering:

  • Grant funding for community policing, crime prevention, and public safety programs, including, but not limited to: 
    • Youth gang intervention
    • Curfew enforcement
    • Drug Abuse Resistance Education
    • Night to Unite
    • Special Weapons and Tactics
    • Canine (K-9) and Mobile Field Force
    • Annual Scouting Day
    • Fright Farm
    • Citizen Academy
  • Funding additional training and equipment needs for volunteer units, such as:
    • Community Affairs Officers
    • Reserve and Dive Team (Water Patrol)
    • Citizen Civil Defense Corp and Community Emergency Response
    • Chaplaincy Corps
    • Law Enforcement Explorers Post #2, affiliated with Boy Scouts of America
    • School Safety Patrol
  • Support the legacy and history efforts
