Inmate Mail


Mail Information

Inmates in the Adult Detention Center may send and receive mail via the United States Postal Service.  All mail, except for privileged mail, received by the facility for inmates is opened and inspected for money, contraband, and unacceptable content.  All mail is subject to being read.  Inmate to inmate mail is not allowed.  It may take up to 2-3 business days for facility processing of mail.


Incoming Mail

Mail to inmates must be addressed and sent to:

Saint Paul, Minnesota 55101

Any mail not sent via the United States Postal Service will be returned.  Inmates are not allowed to receive packages.  Packages will not be accepted and will be returned to the sender.

Mail received on or after the release date will be forwarded to the last address on record with the Adult Detention Center.  If a forwarding address is not available, mail will be returned to the sender.
