Sheriff's Open House

About the Sheriff’s Open House

The Ramsey County Sheriff’s Office invites citizens, families, and community members to learn more about and see firsthand the public safety services in Ramsey County by attending the Sheriff’s Open House.

The Sheriff’s Open House features tours of the Law Enforcement Center, Adult Detention Center, Arraignment Courtrooms, Emergency Communications Center, and the East Metro Regional Firearms Training Center.  Interactive and educational exhibits for the whole family highlight many of the important services provided by the Sheriff’s Office and our public safety partners, including:

  • Countywide squad car and emergency vehicles
  • Special Weapons and Tactics Team (SWAT) equipment
  • Visits from the K-9 Unit
  • Child fingerprinting, “Kid Print”
  • Booth for volunteer opportunities
  • Narcotics Unit display
  • Emergency Services display
  • Refreshments and much more

The Sheriff’s Open House focuses on honoring our local first responders that keep us safe, promoting volunteer programs that help us prepare for, respond to and recover from disasters, and continue promoting the message that preparedness is a shared responsibility.  There is no cost to attend the Open House.

The 2013 Open House was held on Saturday, September 28 at the Law Enforcement Center. Information regarding the next Sheriff’s Open House will be posted on this page.

Everyone is welcome to attend to the Sheriff’s Open House.
