The Civil Process Unit provides service of legal papers as required by law, performs levy on assets of judgment debtors, performs eviction of tenants as directed by the court, conducts sales of personal and real property, serves subpoenas and other papers of the court.

The Court Security Unit is responsible for providing security to the Second Judicial District Court (Ramsey County) which is a unified trial court with general jurisdiction to hear all types of civil and criminal cases. The Ramsey County District Court System conducts operations at five (5) facilities within the County.

This unit serves a total of twenty-nine (29) judges, four (4) referees and two (2) magistrates by providing court security to all courts; maintaining order in these courts; escorting in-custody persons to and from court, and attending to deliberating juries.
Special Investigations & Intelligence Unit (S.I.U.) 651.266.9560
The Special Investigations & Intelligence Unit is responsible for county-wide investigations of criminal activity, offenders, incidents and career criminals.
Transportation Unit 651.266.9327
The Transportation Unit returns persons to Ramsey County who have fled the State of Minnesota to avoid apprehension for crimes committed within the County, transports all prisoners in-custody of the Sheriff to various prisons and correctional facilities, and transports probate patients as ordered by Ramsey County District Court.

The Warrant Office is responsible for confirmation of active arrest warrants issued by the court. The office confirms warrant information to other law enforcement agencies via teletype computers. The Warrant Office is responsible for entering active Ramsey County warrants into the Bureau of Criminal Apprehension's state computer system. This is done so that other law enforcement agencies throughout the state and nation can have access to this information.
